What is the Reserved Zone?
The reserved zone of Manu is an area designated for tourist activities with basic accommodation, and some facilities for scientific research, such as the Cocha Cashu Biological Station, one of the most important research centers of tropical forests within of the Manu national park, all these activities are controlled by SERNAP (National Service of Protected Areas by the State) and by the Manu national park with its regulations. And a perfect place for the sighting of flora and fauna in its original form. where the Giant Otters are strictly protected. And perfect place to see around 14 species of monkeys and to have a better chance to see big Caimans, Jaguar and other small cats.
